The next online CFIDS & Fibromyalgia Self-Help discussion program, held four times a year, will start soon - on September 11, 2006. The deadline for online sign-up is Monday, September 4. The six-week course, which includes a copy of The Patient’s Guide to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, costs $25 for participants in the U.S.; or $15 for those who have access to the book. There is also an advanced discussion offering, focused on short-term goal achievement.
The nonprofit program employs the cognitive behavior (self-help) therapies for chronic illness that program director Bruce Campbell, PhD, developed at Stanford University Medical School. The program is conducted by a group of 10 experienced volunteer leaders, all FM/CFS patients.
For detailed information on program content, leaders, and potential impact, or to sign up, go to www.cfidsselfhelp.org.
