For almost three years, an 11-member committee of experts has been updating and advising the Department of Health and Human Services on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome issues. About twice a year, the members of this CFS Advisory Committee present their reports and recommendations to the federal government on CFS research, public and medical education, and patient care.
Their next presentation to HHS, open to the public, will be held Monday, July 17, in Washington, DC. Place: Room 800 in the Hubert H. Humphrey Building, 200 Independence Avenue, Southwest. Phone the committee’s executive offices at 202-690-7694 for details.
For background information on the CFS Advisory Committee’s charter and its members - some of whom are research scientists, others healthcare industry leaders and patient advocates - go to http://www.hhs.gov/advcomcfs/index.html
